Know the difference between "your" and "you're" (also the difference between "their" and "they're).

Moan about work

I got written up today at work for sexual harassment. HAHA I'm so fucking pissed. What happened was, last week I was in the locker room waiting for the women in the other room to get dressed. While I was waiting some old cunt behind me complained that I was holding her up. So, I said "AAHH don't be a pussy"  just because I had joked around with her before and I figured she'd realize I was being sarcastic. NOPE! She acted like everything was fine, then later I got pulled into my supervisers office. She not only told on me for that but apparently she also complained to the superviser about a bunch of other things I said and did months ago that all of a sudden offended her. CUNT!! Everyone including my boss thinks she's an idiot, but they still have to take it seriously.  I can't believe an adult would act this way. I would think if I said or did anything to upset a normal  person, they would confront me about it. I mean its not like I'm a 6 ft 5 300 pound skin head or anything.

How gay is your job?

The place I work has alot of rules and guidelines for acceptable behavior. We have to take training classes every year on sexual harrassement, discrimination and all that good kind of stuff. My position has me in the back in the shop or in the field most of the day and away from bosses and under the radar. But a couple weeks ago, one of the guys I work with actually got fired for sexual harrassment. I guess this gal complained that he was playing tenacious-d in the vehicle and that he pissed to close to her when in the field, among other things. I just thought the whole thing is stupid. This chick is a short fat moron and can barely keep up with the physical demands of the job. And having a sexual harrassment charge has to fucking suck. What a bunch of bullshit. If anything, I thought I would be the one getting fired for inappropriate behavior. This will certainly make me watch p's and q's at work from now on though...how gay.

The PC-itis is a bit frustrating. 

I think that certain women actually do get victimized.  A really hot (super hot) girl I knew got a job - if I rememebr correctly, she wasn't quite qualified enough but she was hired anyway.  My memory about that particular aspect is a little blurred.  But anyway, her boss called her on her phone (the phone on her desk) and asked her if she was interested in giving him a blowjob.  It wasn't a joke.  He told her something along the lines of it not being a big deal.  He said, "It's not like we're having sex."

She didn't do anything about it.  Looking back, I wonder if anything really would have happened.  It's sort of a he-said/she-said thing.

But I have noticed that after the sexual harrassment training that started to crop up in jobs, very selfish females started to milk the system.  When I started one particular job, I noticed a desk that was always empty.  It was explained to me that the girl was on paid leave until her sexual harrassment thingy was sorted out.  It was widely known that she just did it to get the paid "vacation" (women, by the way, said this)

I had noticed that fat and ugly girls seemed to be the ones who complained to HR (human resources).  At one job, I was having a private conversation with someone, and a super fat twat kept trying to invite herself in.  My coworker and I were whispering.  You would really have to make an effort to hear what we were saying to each other.  We started to tell anectdotes that involved excrement, and sure enough, I was summoned to the H.R. office. 

But in another scenario, this time involving race, I worked a night shift (as a computer geek).  There was a black guy there who spent the entire night on file-sharing sites.  I don't know if i really need to explain the security breach, as well as the liability to the company of such illegal behavior.  He also brought the network down twice in one week.  He also played rap loudly at his desk.  You can imagine how professional the department sounded when anyoe answered the phone - well, in addition to the rap, he would also tell clients, "Yo, hold up."  And a few times I heard him say, "Aw, shit."  Anyway, I did not rat him out, but he eventually couldn't cover up his shitty work ethic, and when he was told that he had to work the day shift, he used the race card.  He accused the management of making racist decisions.  (He wasn't fired - he was just re-scheduled to work when he could be supervised, or more importantly, he could learn proper procedure.  On most night shifts there is minimal management - you are on the night shift because you are trusted).  As part of his stupid defense, he siad it was racist to put him on the day shift when I take 2-hour lunches.   Fuck!  But I still didn't rat him out.  Instead, I demanded that he name my conspiritor.  When management asked me what I meant by that, I explained, "I log into 4 systems when I return from lunch.  If I take 2-hour lunches, who is illegally logging in for me while I am away having a party?"  Guess what?  They put ME on the day shift.  That guy made up all these lies, but because he weilded the race card, I was the one who lost.  Well, that particular branch of the company got shut own a few months later.  Hardly surprising.  They let the selfish people abuse the system.  It's kind of funny how I am currently learnign about evolution, and about how a group of altruists can be infested by selfish people and ultimately brought down.  Two things keep us from being destroyed by selfish people.  One is migration.  Members join other groups, leaving the doomed ones.  And there is also "cheater detection" in which cheaters get excluded from altruistic favor.

It's a puzzling thing, isn't it?  As new as it seems to be, problems within groups have always existed.  And I don't think that group problems will ever be done away with.  So the best thing to do is just to learn the rules and to adapt to the rules of the moment.  It's hard to deal with sometimes, but you just have to eat shit.  Rememebr, an ideal is only real in your head - it will never be real outside of your head.  Just eat teh shit sandwich and think about something else, lol.

Ha! Very ironic, the very minute I pulled up this thread, I was watching Bad Acid and it was at the scene where you're threatening "Metallic Angel" for sexual harrassment.

But anyway, I think people need to lighten up. I think extreme things need to be reprimanded, but people need to differentiate humor and causualness from mean spirited inappropriatness.
