Glenn Benton's problem with King Diamond
I was reading about Deicide today. I read that they used to be called Amon but they were threatened by Roadrunner Records because Amon was the name of the house in King Diamond's "Them" album. Is that true or is that internet bullshit? I mean lots of bands take the up names of other bands songs as their moniker and nobody cries about it. Was this just a gay move on King Diamonds part or was it just Roadrunner being Roadrunner? I've read a little in The Grimoire about how Glenn has a problem with King because "He’s a fuckin’ run his mouth little pussy. That’s what he is. And he almost got his ass kicked a couple of times." HAHA But that was for a different reason. I was just wondering if the thing about Amon was true.

Re: Glenn Benton's problem with King Diamond
That is false - use your brain.  If I wrote a poem about a flashlight named "Poopy Doopy" I would in no way be able to sue a band for naming themselves "Poopy Doopy."

And to clarify history - In issue #2 of the Grimoire, I asked King Diamond what he thought about the lyrics of Deicide because I considered the lyrics to be fake-satanism.  King siad that he never heard Deicide, but he did hear that they seem to be putting out the christian word of what satanism is all about.  well, when Deicide played in Brooklyn, I gave one of the Hoffmans that issue, and as ashamed as I am for the trouble that has caused, I don't blame myself because King didn't say anything bad or untrue.  We can't go blaming ourselves for the stupid reactions that people have to our words.  If someone reacts in a stupid way, the blame is on him.

Re: Glenn Benton's problem with King Diamond
You shouldn't believe anything you read on that site.  They don't check the facts.  It's pretty much just a rumormill.  Maybe there's an item of truth here or there, but even I had to contact their administrators to correct stuff thaty was written about me.  Well, their stuff about me still isn't accurate, but the stuff that they weer asked to remove was hostile toward me.  I don't mean they were calling me names.  They listed things about me that were not true, and these were things that i stand against.  No need to list them here.

Just be careful when you read stuff, on the Internet or anywhere else.  You are supposed to learn how to be an active reader.  If you read somethign that interests you, you are then to research, reading from many sources.  Many people don't do that.  They just swallow what they read in one source and then perpetuate what they've read, whether or not it is credibile.

I am lucky enough to have an archeologist as a friend.  Very often I hear or read something that is supposed to be authentic science, but then when I talk to him about it he almost wants to slap me for being so gullible.  By the way, the word "gullible" is not in the dictionary.

Which, among these non-metal expressions, is the most gay? (No metalhead should EVER say any of these under any circumstance - do not even read them aloud!)
