Redneck Zombies
Anybody seen this 1987 classic? I found it to be quite enjoyable. The reason I mention this movie is that after recently watching this movie, I thought to myself, 'this movie seems strangely familiar'. THen it came to me. Redneck Zombies and The Worst Horror Movie Ever Made are quite similar in many ways. THe main aspect that had me likening the two was the general feel of the two movies. By this I mean they both had a very fun and loose free spirit feel to them. I don't know, this could be just me, but from now on, when thinking about one, I will be thinking about the other.

Re: Redneck Zombies
TROMA!!! Fuck yes, thats one of my favorite movies of all time! I got it when I was younger but it still makes me laugh to this day. I'll never forget that scene mocking The Texas Chainsaw Massacre's hitch-hiker scene. Great special effects for gore fans. I think the guy who made that movie got Lloyd Kaufman (Troma's President) to release and distribute his film for free on the condition that he'd donate his talents for creating cheaply made but convincing gore effects on the Toxic Avengers 2 and 3. The Worst Horror Movie..  definitely has a Troma feel to it. But, what convinced me that Bill was influenced by Troma (he's not but this is what made me think he was) was the scene in The Worst Horror Movie.. where that guy gets his head smashed and it's really just a watermellon. HAHA

Yeah, Troma pulls the melon trick all the time. It's a very funny effect.

Re: Redneck Zombies
I love this movie!  This movie is really a great example of what can be done with next to no money.  I never see anything about this movie on the web, it doesn't really seem to get the attention that the troma releases of this quality usually get.  The gore is really great and over the top, and it definitely has its share of unbelievably horrible dialogue...even by troma standandards....Some of the lines in this movie just totally make me fucking cringe!  According to wikipedia troma bought the movie for $10,000 dollars.  I hadn't heard about the Kaufman buying it so the guy would do the effects for toxie II and III thats kind of interesting.

Re: Redneck Zombies
I am surprised that George the Slayer hasn't responded.  That guy has seen (and enjoyed) a million horror movies.  He likes stuff like "Son Of Frank" or is it "Bride of Frank" - maybe I will get him to react to participate in some of these discussions.

Re: Redneck Zombies
Yeah this movie truly is great, very original for something overdone.

Which, among these non-metal expressions, is the most gay? (No metalhead should EVER say any of these under any circumstance - do not even read them aloud!)
