Any post with ebonics will get deleted, regardless of content.  Similarly, there is a limit to the amount of bastardization of the English language that will be tolerated.  Try to observe the basics of grammar.

Know the difference between "your" and "you're" (also the difference between "their" and "they're).

Do not write in INSTANT MESSAGE style.  For instance, we do not tolerate people who write "NE1" instead of "anyone".  This is not an instant message.  This is a post that should take a bit of time and thought.  No posts get published without approval, so use some judgement.

HD TV
I was in a store today and I decided to indulge my curiousity about HD.  I have been thinking about getting one of these TV's because a place I frequent (The Clash Bar) has such a TV.  The interesting thing about the TV at the Clash Bar is that it has been making me drool over movies, but the people there play normal DVD's, not HD DVD's.  It was explained to me that the reason why it looks so good is because normal TV's can;t show the full resolution of a DVD  (ha!  I use a normal RCA output from mine instead of a Super VHS output).

Anyway, I have been hearing about "true" HD that's 1080, as oppose to the more popular 700-something.

Well, the store was showing "Pirates of the Carabean" on a "true" HD TV, and I hated it.  It looked like someone shot it on a video camera.  Let me explain.  Yes, it had super detail.  But I think that the hyper detail destroyed the cinematic motion of the film frame rate - it looked like vacation video.  It was quite upsetting.  It really nailed down the magic of the motion blur that film produces.

I wonder if anyone else has observed the same.

So I will definitely opt for the 700-something HD TV, and I will play normal DVD's, unless HD DVD's that play on the "untrue" HD still retain the cinematic motion.  Seriously, I didn't think I was watching the movie.  I thought I was watching a "making of" because it wasn't beautiful - it had that video-camera quality to it.  I'm really bummed about this.

Which, among these non-metal expressions, is the most gay? (No metalhead should EVER say any of these under any circumstance - do not even read them aloud!)
